At the Back and Neck Clinic of Houston and its affiliated clinics, the goal is to provide patient oriented, ethical, safe, cost effective and efficient pain care in order to restore function and to decrease pain. We only use Board-Certified/Eligible, University Fellowship Trained M.D.s, recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties as our physicians. This ensures that the public will have confidence that the doctor treating them has gone through an accredited academic, post-residency, training program with subsequent examination and certification that is nationally recognized.

Who we are
We are a dedicated team committed to excellence in the field of pain control, headed by a fellowship-trained, board certified pain physician with more than 13 years in practice.

We treat adults with acute and chronic back, neck, cancer, RSD, and other pain syndromes.
What we do
We strive for maximun function and minimal pain using clinic-based and hospital-based procedures such as:
- Epidural steroid injections for disc related problems
- Radio frequency neuro ablation of lumbar and cervical facet joints
- Spinal cord stimulator trial and implantation in order to treat low back and lower extremity pain.
- Intra-spinal medication pumps for intractable pain
What to expect when you first visit
Each patient is unique and they are treated accordingly. At the initial consultation, a review of available medical records, which may include x-rays, MRIs, and CT scans, as well as other studies, is performed. All the available information gathered will then be used to implement a treatment plan that is tailored to the patient. Often, this may involve an in-clinic procedure in the procedure suite that will need to be scheduled at a later date.
Where are these procedures done?
The procedures are generally done in the procedure suite within the clinic itself that maximizes patient safety, comfort, and convenience while minimizing patient cost. More complex procedures are performed in a hospital out-patient setting.
