Lumbar Facet Blocks

The facets are located between the vertebrae of each level of the spine. By injecting into and around the joints we are able to diagnose and hopefully treat the source of pain that is a result of arthritis or joint swelling within those facet joints.

These procedures are all done under x-ray guidance and sedation in the procedure suite or in a hospital outpatient setting

Cervical Facet Blocks

This procedure is similar to the lumbar facet blocks except that it is performed in the neck

These procedures are all done under x-ray guidance and sedation in the procedure suite or in a hospital outpatient setting

Sacroiliac Joint Injection

The sacroiliac joints are located at the base of the spine between iliac bones and the sacrum. Sometimes straining these joints can cause severe pain in the low back that does radiate into one or both legs. It may be very painful just to sit down. Injecting cortisone with a little local anesthetic can be both a diagnostic and therapeutic procedure.

These procedures are all done under x-ray guidance and sedation in the procedure suite or in a hospital outpatient setting
